Launch

An entry for Space Exhibition.

I liked Eran Hilleli’s 'Between Bears' so much, I had to do this.

Life is beautiful.

Each page in hand screen printed onto paper I made from pulp.

Alt Press fair 2011

Here are a few photos from the International Alt' Press fair at Conway Hall in London. It was a weekend event but I only attended for the sunday.

I'm so glad I went! It was a bit scary at first as it was my first time as an exhibitor, but as I started meeting some great people my nerves settled! I just can't wait for the next one now!

Just a wizard I conjured up for Timothy Winchester over at http://timothywinchester.blogspot.com/

Hooray for wizards!

More printing!

So here are a few snaps of the screen printing in progress. There are 3 separate screens for each spread, one for every colour. These take up so much time, doing 30 copies of the comic is proving to be a bit of a headache!

Making the screens.

Here are a few images of me oiling up my prints so they can be put onto silk screens for hand printing.

27 images over 13 screens = lots of work!

This baker...

A personal Gummo

The past few weeks I've been working on a screen printed comic. It is based off my own interpretation of the film Gummo by Harmony Korine. All of the text is parts of the script written by Korine, but the images are my own interpretation of the film, and what it means to me.

These two spreads are nearly there, but I need to come back to them for finishing touches!

Something new.

It's been a while but I've been battling with a creative block and wrestling with a project that is draining time!
Here is just the smallest part of a comic I am working on, intended to be screen printed. I still need to add text and sort out some more angles but this is the basic page.

Working for a Coffin

Here is some new stuff from a short comic i've just finished. These are the images without text, but the basic gist of it is about how some people can get trapped in their own daily cycle, ultimately letting the routine rule their lives.
Sorry there hasn't been much going on on my blog recently, i've been busy with this!

Should Have

4 weeks poking at this and its finally done! Well, done for the web, i still need to print it out and slap a cover on it!

This is a comic about how people think of all the things they should have said or should have done when something bothers them, but never do. They just sit back and let their minds stew over feelings that will never come to life, just to sink back into the same endless cycle.

One more!

Just another panel from the comic that is near finished! I just wanted to upload this one because i didnt give it the space it needed in the actual comic!

Silly Wookie!

Just wanted to do a rookie Wookie! Enjoy :)

Something new.

Just a page from a comic in working on about some idiot who called me a dickhead for wearing an owl hat. It sounds like a crap comic but it hopefully will make more sense when it's done!

What looks better?

Ive been trying to play around with different panel boxes for a while now and i cant decide which works better. This pages still needs a lot of work but the panel layout is annoying me! As soon as i get the first page nailed the others will just flow nicely, so please gimme some feedback, you can be as harsh as you like :)
